Intellectual Property & Ownership Notice
Effective date: August 25, 2026 · Last updated: August 25, 2026
1. Ownership of all published works
All works published by or under the imprints of Perrin Institution, Inc. (including “Ad Ventures,” “Perrin Research,” “Ad Ventures,” “Ad Ventures Lab,” “Ad Ventures Fund,” “The Perrin Institution,” “Perrin & Fidutam,” and “Fidutam Research”) are the sole and exclusive property of Perrin Institution, Inc., held under the stewardship of its Board of Directors. This includes, without limitation, every article, publication, research paper, dataset, compilation, and the research compendium made available on this Site, in whole and in part.
Contributions to the organization were made on a volunteer membership basis. All right, title, and interest, including copyright, in works completed during any member's tenure vest in and are retained exclusively by Perrin Institution, Inc. No author, member, former member, or third party retains any ownership interest in the works as published.
2. No third-party rights
No government, company, organization, or individual retains or acquires any intellectual-property right in the Institution's publications, archive, or compendium by virtue of contribution, citation, appearance, reference, or any other circumstance. All rights not expressly granted in writing by the Institution are reserved in their entirety.
3. Bylines and credits
Bylines and credits identify the contributing member for the historical record only. A byline or credit conveys no ownership, license, employment relationship, contract, agency, or other affiliation, and shall not be represented as doing so. Being listed in any publication of the Institution does not mean the listed person was employed by, contracted by, or otherwise affiliated with the organization.
4. No obligation to alter the record
The Institution maintains its publications and archive as a fixed historical record. The Institution is under no obligation to remove, alter, transfer, or concede any part of that record in response to demands concerning ownership, attribution, or affiliation, and such demands confer no rights on the demanding party. Inquiries regarding the archive create no legal obligation on the Institution and are addressed, if at all, solely at the Institution's discretion, except in the limited circumstances where applicable law requires otherwise (see the Terms of Use for the copyright-notice procedure required by U.S. law).
5. Enforcement
Unauthorized commercial reproduction of the Institution's works, false claims of authorship, ownership, or affiliation, and assertions of intellectual-property rights over the Institution's property may be pursued to the fullest extent of the law, including claims for infringement, misrepresentation, and fraud. The Institution reserves the right to publicly correct false claims.
6. Permissions
Quotation with attribution for non-commercial, educational, or journalistic purposes is welcome. Any other use requires prior written permission from contact@perrininstitution.org. Permission, where granted, is a limited, revocable license and transfers no ownership.
