Accessibility Statement

1. Commitment

1.1The institution wants everyone to be able to read its research and use its website, including people who use assistive technology.

2. The standard we aim for

2.1The website aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. This is a target the institution works toward and tests against; it is not a claim of certified conformance.

3. What we do

• Text is set with sufficient contrast against its background
• Pages can be navigated by keyboard, with a skip link to the main content
• Images that carry information have text alternatives; decorative images are hidden from screen readers
• Background video is muted, does not play for people who have asked their device to reduce motion, and carries no information that is not also in text
• Pages reflow to narrow screens without horizontal scrolling

4. Known limitations

• Some archived documents from the Perrin & Fidutam era, including parts of the compendium PDF, are scanned facsimiles and may not be fully readable by screen readers
• Embedded video from third parties is subject to the accessibility of the provider's player

4.2Accessible versions of any document can be provided on request.

5. Reporting a barrier

5.1If you cannot access something on the website, or need a document in another format, write to contact@perrininstitution.org with the page address and a description of the problem. The institution aims to respond within five working days.
