1. Commitment

1.1The institution provides equal opportunity to everyone who works with it or applies to, and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.

2. Where it applies

  • Recruitment, hiring, compensation, promotion and termination
  • Admission to membership and fellowships
  • Grant decisions made through Perrin Giving
  • Access to the institution's events, programmes and publications

3. Reasonable accommodation

3.1The institution provides reasonable accommodation to qualified people with disabilities, and for sincerely held religious beliefs, unless doing so would impose an undue hardship. Requests may be made to the Executive Director or to contact@perrininstitution.org.

4. Harassment

4.1Harassment based on any protected characteristic is a form of discrimination and is prohibited under this policy and the Code of Conduct.

5. Complaints

5.1Anyone who believes they have been treated unfairly may raise a complaint with the Executive Director, any officer, or under the Whistleblower Policy. Complaints are investigated promptly and impartially, and no one is retaliated against for making one in good faith.
